 Tanuja, was a student of hotel management, sponsored via the CSR initiative of HSBC Bank, with SWADES FOUNDATION, at DRES Uttarakhand 2017 batch. She is the daughter of Shri Ramesh Singh. a resident from relatively non-descript village of Shripur in  Khatima, Udamsingh Nagar. She has a sibling and belongs to very poor family with considerably low financial resources. Her father is a farmer cum daily wage worker and mother is an illiterate housewife who works in home as well as a daily laborer to earn livelihood for her family, generally doing overtime to manage household expenses.
